Ode to Odjig
I was intrigued by the sketches by Daphne Odjig that I saw when visiting the Native Cultural Arts Museum at Gruard. I Googled her name and saw some of her later colourful works which I liked very much; I discovered that Ms. Odjig was a member of the Native Group of Seven – artists who were passionate about recording the way of life of First Nations Canadians.

This is my Ode to Odjig – in which  I see her passing on the tales to future generations. Daphne Odjig turns 90 in 2009.
